How to Draw the Face

"When you do the shape of the head to the width of you character's lips and size of their cheekbone this will help you to create an individual look."- This will also help the readers to recognize your draw.
Every manga face has its different features on its way.

I will show you how to draw a female face in front view:

1. To do the basic structure of the face, start to draw a circle the bigger the circle the bigger head and face you will make so try to balance it. And also, this circle will help you align the eyes, nose, ears, and lips of your character.

2. Draw a horizomtal line at the center of the circle. This line divides the head evenly and it indicates the placement of nose.
Note: You don't have to make your sketch look perfect because you will do some adjustments later.

3. Draw another straight line but this time a vertical line draw it on the lower part of the circle. This indicates the lower eye's line, and the placement of the ears where jaw and skull meet.

4. This part where you add the facial features.
Start with the eyes. There are many ways on how to draw the eyes. In some manga, the eyes are bigger ( this is called- Shouju eyes). The bigger the eyes the more it look cute, lovely and adorable.
After doing both eyes, draw a small like oblong shape to both sides of your character's jaw this are now your ears. After doing this you can now erase the bottom part of the circle and curves left behind that acts as guide for the cheekbones.

5. Finish your Manga Face
The last line is for nose and lips. Nose don't have to be look perfect in manga style. Try to look at some Anime and Manga characters you will notice that the nose is sometimes like a dot, a curve or a simple line and others skip the nose ( just like in Chibi characters.)

The mouth is located in lower part of you character's nose. Place it where it best fits the character. A lower mouth drags the face down. So don't make it too high nor too low.

Now you have Your character's face, Let's go to the next step applying the hair.
Hair never lies flat so always put size, lines and curves to show that it has volume and shape depending on the style of the hair.
After doing the hair you can add some accessories it can be earings, necklace, hair clip it depends on you. But in my photo here I decided to make my charater simple and without any accessories.
